The 22nd Nagoya Gold Medal of Organic Chemistry was awarded to Prof. Steve Buchwald by the Banyu Life Science Foundation International for his "significant contributions to the field in its broadest sense." The Nagoya Gold Medal Prize was founded in 1995 by Professor Hisashi Yamamoto and Professor Ryoji Noyori. The Nagoya Silver Medal presented to a rising Japanese scientist was awarded to Prof. Masaya Sawamura of Hokkaido University, Japan. The award lectures and ceremony will be held on January 27th, 2017 at the Noyori Conference of Nagoya University. Congratulations Steve and Prof. Sawamura!!
